We have a feeling that OPIs Texas Collection is going to be a huge hit. We immediately jumped to the bold and the neutral, but we think the sleeper hit will be the Sorbet Six. These are a mix of berry, coral and rosy pink shades that all have a sorbet finish. I snapped a pic of my coworkers freshly-manicured hand over lunch to show you why. Fashion Week 2011 follower Lynn Lendway of the Upper West Side poses in front of Lincoln Center, where the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week will be held starting Feb. 10.
Fashion Week sashays into town this Thursday with its semiannual circus of designers, models, celebrities and paparazzi.
And it all happens behind closed doors.
“It’s torture,” wails Maria Alexa Gee, a Pace University junior forced to join the majority of local fashionistas in admiring the city’s most fabulous event from afar.
“It’s like the Greek myth about the guy [Tantalus] who is always hungry, but he can’t reach the fruit,” she says.
